This product is designed to provide rapid pain relief for conditions including migraine, headache, period pains, neuralgia, toothache, sore throat, and symptomatic relief of rheumatic pain, sciatica, lumbago, fibrositis, muscular aches and pains. It also offers relief from symptoms of influenza, feverishness, and feverish colds.Suitable for Adults and Children Over 16 Years of AgeAge RestrictionYou must be at least 16 years old to purchase this product.How to UseBefore using this product, carefully read the enclosed leaflet.Alka-Seltzer XS must always be dissolved in a glass of water before oral administration.For Adults, the Elderly, and Children Aged 16 and Over:Take 2 tablets in half a glass of water.This dose can be repeated every 4 hours, up to 4 doses within 24 hours. However, the dosage should not continue for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.Do not exceed the stated dose.Do not give to children under 16 years of age, unless specifically indicated (e.g., for Kawasaki’s disease).Hazards and CautionsBefore taking this product, consider the following:Do not take Alka-Seltzer XS if you:Are allergic to aspirin or any other ingredients.Have a stomach or duodenal ulcer.Have hemophilia or are pregnant or breastfeeding.Have severe heart, kidney, or liver problems.Avoid if you are on a high dose of methotrexate (15mg per week).Speak to your doctor before taking Alka-Seltzer if you:Suffer from asthma.Have a history of gastrointestinal disorders (regular stomach upsets).Have kidney or liver problems.Aspirin has also been associated with an increased risk of Reye’s Syndrome when given to children with a fever. Therefore, aspirin use is not recommended in children under 16 years of age.You should consult your doctor before taking aspirin if you are taking any other medicines, including those for blood clots (thrombosis) such as warfarin or for gout, such as probenecid.If you are unsure, please check with your doctor and always read the label.StorageDo not store above 25°C.Store in the original package to protect from moisture.Keep out of the reach and sight of children.PrecautionsThis is a medicinal product.
